No. The detailed health information you submit while using Back With Care™ (e.g. recent symptoms) will not be shared with your employer. Your employer will only have access to information that could affect the safety of the workplace. This could include information about employees who have tested positive, employees who are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, and/or employees who have recently been exposed to the virus. (This information will also help your employer provide those employees with the right resources.) If an employee opts out of in-person work, the employer will use that information to discuss next-steps with the employee.
In accordance with the ADA, Buoy’s Back With Care™ tool does not collect from you, and does not give your employer any specific information about whether you have an underlying condition that could place you at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
